Plant Basics

Plants are funny things:  they're very still on the outside, but they're full of activity on the inside

To be sure you know the basics about plant life, try out a few of these interactive websites.

First is a little lesson on plant life cycles at BBC's site.

Next is an activity on classifying.  You'll find it at catie.org.

For a quick activity on the amazing process of photosynthesis, take a look at pbs.org.

This last little game is for balancing heat and water - you have to get it right for your plant to grow!  Once again, it's at BBC.

Is there anything you find fascinating about plants?   If you've grown something yourself, what has it taught you?
