It's Not Scary - It's a Poem!

This begins a series of posts introducing poetry.  Each post will link to the next.

Poetry is something everyone can enjoy!
You probably already have some experience with poetry.
After all, you know plenty of nursery rhymes, don't you?

Hey diddle diddle,
the cat and the fiddle,
the cow jumped over the moon,
the little dog laughed
to see such a sight
and the dish ran away
with the spoon.

Do you (or did you) have a favorite nursery rhyme?
Why are nursery rhymes fun?

I have got no idea of what the heck my favorite nursery rhyme was 20 years ago... But I do know why every little kid has to have a nursery rhyme. #1 they’re babyish made for infants with a huge lack of education and knowledge. #2 Humpty Alexander Dumpty a.k.a The Egg. #3 The egg and #4 The Egg.

Why are nursery rhymes fun? Because of the egg. Why do they have great sound? Because of The Egg.
Why are they popular? Because of The Egg.

Every question involving nursery rhymes the answer is THE EGG!!!!!

DO NOT MESS WITH THE EGG! But most of all...BEWARE OF HIS HEAD BEWARE OF HIS HEAD FOR IT IS THE SIZE OF AN ELEPHANT!!!!!!!

Beware beware beware beware OF THE EGG HEAD!!!!

  4. Little kids like those little sing songy rhymes because they just sound silly and it's funny to hear adults talk like that.
