Today is very boring,
it is boring through and through,
there is absolutely nothing
that I think I want to do,
I see giants riding rhinos,
and an ogre with a sword,
there’s a dragon blowing smoke rings,
I am positively bored.
Jack Prelutsky has written many poetry books full of nonsense verse.

I learned that poem. I love nonsense.

ReplyDeleteHave you read some of his grose poems such as : Eyeballs for Sale, Be Glad Your Nose is on your Face, Rat for Lunch, Percys Perfect Pies, or Bleezers Ice Cream. UGHHH!!!!! I feel like I am never going to eat again in my life!!!!!
You are quite right that nonsense verse sometimes turns GROSS!
